NECO Sets June 14 for 2025 National Common Entrance Exam Across Nigeria—Get Ready!
The National Examinations Council (NECO) will conduct the 2025 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) across Nigeria on Saturday, June 14, 2025.
The exam is for admission to Junior Secondary School (JSS1) at Federal Government Unity Colleges.
“The 2025 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) conducted by NECO for admission into Federal Government Unity Colleges is coming up on Saturday, 14th June, 2025,” the governing body announced.
The NCEE is an annual countrywide examination administered by NECO to Primary 6 students seeking admission to the 110 Unity Colleges owned and run by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
According to NECO, this year’s exam will be held in specified examination centers throughout the country for students who completed their elementary education during the 2024/2025 academic year.

NECO has issued a directive to parents and guardians, requesting them to guarantee that their children and wards attend the designated centers on exam day.
Candidates for the NCEE are normally aged 10 to 13, and the courses evaluated include mathematics, English studies, quantitative and verbal aptitude, general science, and social studies.
Successful NCEE applicants will be considered for placement in JSS1 classes in Federal Unity Colleges during the 2025/2026 academic year.
These colleges are overseen by the Federal Ministry of Education and are noted for their excellent academic standards, availability of skilled teachers, and comparatively low tuition fees.
