Education Ministry Applauds Afe Babalola as ABUAD Breaks into World’s Top 100 Universities!
The Federal Ministry of Education has conveyed sincere congratulations to Aare Afe Babalola (ABUAD), SAN, the founder and chancellor of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti (ABUAD), along with all faculty and staff of the institution, for its recent global achievement.
Minister of Education, Dr. Olatunji Alausa, expressed admiration for ABUAD’s status as one of the top 100 universities worldwide.
In the most recent Times Higher Education Impact Rankings (2025), ABUAD reached a remarkable milestone by securing the 84th position globally, ranking 3rd in Africa, and retaining its top spot in Nigeria for the fourth consecutive year from 2022 to 2025.
Folasade Boriowo, Director of Press and Public Relations, shared in a statement on Saturday that Minister Alausa commended Aare Afe Babalola in a letter for his steadfast commitment to educational excellence and the advancement of the nation.

“This achievement should serve as a driving force that inspires a stronger commitment to delivering quality, effective, and globally competitive education,” Dr. Alausa observed.
