Edo University (Iyamho) Post-UTME & Direct Entry (DE) 2025 Guide

Edo University, Iyamho—formerly Edo State University Uzairue—has officially opened its applications for the 2025/2026 session, welcoming UTME, Direct Entry, and transfer students to kickstart their admission process.

Who Can Apply?

UTME Applicants

  • You sat for the 2025 UTME and hit your chosen department’s cut-off.

  • You’ve secured at least five credits (including math and English) in WAEC/NECO/NABTEB—preferably in a maximum of two sittings. Note: Medicine & Surgery may require credits in one sitting.

  • Even if your O-Level results are pending, you’re still eligible to apply.

  • Didn’t you list Edo University as your first choice? No worries—just apply for a change of institution via JAMB, then complete the Edo Uni form.

Direct-Entry (DE) Candidates

  • Open to those with:

    • NCE (with Merit),

    • OND/HND (with Credit),

    • A university degree in a relevant discipline.

  • You can also apply if you hold A-Level passes (like A-Levels, IJMB, and JUPEB)—just ensure they align with your chosen course.

Transfer Students

  • To transfer in:

    • Your current university must be NUC-accredited.

    • Fill out Edo University’s official transfer form.

    • Ensure your CGPA is at least 1.5.

    • Submit your JAMB admission letter and have your transcript sent directly to Edo University.

    • You may need to attend an interview or carry out additional screening.
