According to Sanwo-Olu, Lagos would construct more JAMB CBT centers.

Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to raising the standard of education and announced plans to open more Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) centers throughout the state.

Sanwo-Olu pledged when Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, the JAMB Registrar, visited the Lagos House in Ikeja.

In order to assist JAMB’s purpose and facilitate candidate access, he announced plans to allot large parcels of land in Ojo, FESTAC, Ikorodu, and Mile 12 for the construction of new Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers.

The governor emphasized the importance of education in promoting economic growth when he said, “Education is one of the strongest tools you can give to a human being.” The governor emphasized programs like the Teacher’s Merit Award, which honors exceptional teachers with training, financial incentives, and cars as part of attempts to maintain the teaching profession while restating his administration’s support for education.

“We’ll keep pushing folks to stay in the teaching profession. We can only save the profession in this way,” he continued.

Sanwo-Olu also revealed that Lagos State has one of the top public service staff development schools in the nation and that the state has teamed with a Singaporean public school to improve staff development. Prof. Oloyede received praise from the governor for the revolutionary progress he has made at JAMB.

He cited the registrar’s devotion, moral character, and pursuit of perfection as major contributors to the notable advancements the school has seen recently.

“I applaud him for the incredible change he has made to JAMB. His devotion to excellence, honesty, and hard work have not gone ignored,” Sanwo-Olu stated.
