2025 UTME: JAMB Finally Admits to Errors—Here’s What You Need to Know!

The 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) contained mistakes, which the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has acknowledged.

Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, the board’s registrar, said this at a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday.

“One or two mistakes have changed what should have been a joyful moment,” Oloyede stated.

“We set all machinery in order; regardless, there were still errors,” he said.

This comes after JAMB acknowledged receiving an abnormally high volume of complaints about disparities in candidates’ test results.

This followed news of subpar results from the just-finished UTME.

The board had committed to implementing the necessary corrective actions as soon as any issues were found.

Seventy-eight percent of candidates received less than 200 of the 400 possible points in the 2025 UTME results.
